This workshop is perfect for beginners exploring urban farming. We take participants through the need for more residents in Singapore to be able to pick up basic urban farming skills to help increase our food security through independent production. Participants will learn to make their own seed germination stations as the first step towards planting and growing their own vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

This workshop focuses on hydroponics as a high-tech form of urban farming. Commercial hydroponics machines enabling the soil-less cultivation of vegetables, haerbs, and fruits are now widely avaiable than ever before for the lay people to use to grow their food security. We show one such hydroponics machine, the indoorGreens' growMe system, can be used in the comfort of your own living space to grow your vegetables, fruits, and herbs and help you save cost!

In line with food sustainability and urban farming, our mushroom growing workshops teach participants the science behind how mushrooms grow and thrive, and Singapore's approach to food sustainability, of which urban farming plays a big part. With less than 1% availability of commerical farming space, residents in Singapore's urban landscape can still help to realize Singapore's goal of 30% independent food production by the year 2030.
