DR. DAIANA BEITLER Dr.Beitler is a Global Industry Digital Strategist at Microsoft. She is responsible for helping strategic customers reimagine the future with purpose-driven digital transformations. Prior to this, Daiana led Microsoft Philanthropies in Asia where she worked to make opportunities. of our rapidly evolving digital economy accessible to all people. Before joining Microsoft, Daiana worked at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in the Global Policy and Advocacy team. At the Foundation, she managed a significant portfolio of initiatives aimed at increasing the effectiveness of foreign aid investments in public health issues in the Global South. Her experience also includes supporting government transformation programs at Tony Blair Associates (TBA), focused on improving the quality of public service delivery in Central Asian countries. She worked for McKinsey & Company in the Public Sector Practice, and for the New Economics Foundation, a think tank specialising in economic, social and environmental policy. Her experience also includes assignments for the Inter-American Development Bank and the Pan American Health Organisation (regional office of the World Health Organisation) in Washington, D.C. Daiana holds a PhD in Economic Sociology from the London School of Economics and a master’s degree in Social Policy and Development from the same university. She authors and publishes on topics related to the intersection of business, technology and society and is a frequent speaker in academic conferences. Daiana is originally from Uruguay and now lives in Singapore with her two children, Ben and Zoe.
